Emergency Housing

Each year, Studentboet arranges emergency housing for students who find themselves without accommodation at the start of the semester. This means that, subject to availability, you can get a subsidized bed at a centrally located hostel in the city, so you don’t have to cover the full cost yourself. The emergency housing is usually highly appreciated and typically operates for just over five weeks at the beginning of each autumn semester. Students who are allocated a place can stay there until they find a more permanent accommodation – though no later than the end of September, when the emergency housing closes. The purpose is to ensure that students don’t have to decline their admission due to lack of housing.

Emergency housing will also be offered in 2025, but with the difference that Studentboet will distribute a discount code to students in need. This code can be used, subject to availability, at Hotell & Vandrarhem Centralstationen. You will independently handle your booking directly with the hostel and receive a discounted bed rate upon presenting the discount code from Studentboet.

 

The Rooms

The rooms at Hotell & Vandrarhem Centralstationen will be gender-segregated, with students sharing double rooms. Please note that the rooms do not have windows. Bed linens and breakfast are included in the price. You are responsible for making your booking directly with the hostel and will also pay them directly. You can take advantage of Studentboet’s offer, subject to availability, by presenting the discount code.

 

The Discount Code

To be eligible for Studentboet’s offer, you must be able to present a valid proof of admission, preferably a certificate of registration, along with an ID or passport. The discount code is valid subject to availability at Hotell & Vandrarhem Centralstationen.
