The common webpage of Studenthousing in Uppsala

The housing situation in Uppsala is very difficult. There are nearly 40 different housingcompanies that provide students with accommodation, but we didn’t have a common place where all the companies where gathered. Therefore, Uppsala Student union started a project to improve the housing situation with better information concerning student housing and to make it more available for students.

This project stared in January and has been successful. The housingcompanies has been very positive to a common webpage where all companies are gathered. The thought is that the webpage not only should be a “housing-provider” for students, but also an informationsource. Early in the development of the webpage, we decided that the name of it should be Studentboet, and at the webpage www.studentboet.se, you will find information about everything that concerns your student housing situation. Private “subleasers” will also have the opportunity to put in an ad for their apartment or room.
