The Home of the month - July

In the moth of July we visited Sara. She lives in a 2 room apartment that she rent from Studentstaden. Sara is studying development studies at Uppsala university and registered at Studentstaden in the fall of 2006. Only a few moths later, just after Christmas, Studentstaden contacted her and offered her an apartment. Sara moved in to her apartment in February of 2007. Sara opens up her student apartment for me a sunny day in early July.

The apartment that Sara lives in is very neat. It is 57 square meters that is divided in 2 rooms and a roomy kitchen. The apartment is located at Väktargatan, which is a real studentarea in Uppsala. The rent is 4669 Swedish crowns and water, heat and Internet is included in the rent.

Sara show me her apartment and all the rooms. The kitchen is large enough that a fourseat kitchen table easily can be fitted in there, and in the bathroom has a nice bath. Both the livingroom and the bedroom are spacious and the whole apartment feels larger than 57 square meters. Sara says that: “-The best thing with this place is that you have a whole kitchen to your self”. I really understand her, and can easily see that she is very proud over her studenthome. “Is there anything that you dislike about your place?” I ask her. She answers that “Sometimes it could be a little bit noisy in this area”. 

After a good cup of coffee I thank Sara for the visit and I wish her the best of luck with her studies and also her housing!
